SASHTO is the Southern Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials. The departments of transportation from Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Puerto Rico, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia and West Virginia are the member states of SASHTO. The Association was organized to encourage a balanced transportation system across the southern United States.

The Alabama Department of Transportation will host the 82nd Annual Southern Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials Conference in August 2023. This conference will showcase the opportunity to exchange ideas, discuss challenges, share best practices, participate in technical sessions on highway and transportation matters, network with industry representatives and bask in the southern hospitality.
